Trellis House celebrates nature, light, and community. It pays homage to the LA River and Griffith Park by emphasizing greenery and walkability, adding housing to vacant lots and transforming the neighborhood. The design, inspired by a garden trellis, creates interesting nooks and crannies for residents.
The largely landscaped street frontage is designed to be visually attractive to the residents and the surrounding neighborhood. These pockets of vegetation will be comprised of over 75% indigenous species, offering a natural buffer between neighbors and improving the quality of life.
The roof is a large communal terrace with outdoor seating and vegetation, offering residents a unique space to connect with nature.
