The SSF Biotech Campus stands as a 287-foot-tall landmark, prominently situated between the 101 Freeway and the E Grand overpass, symbolizing the dynamic growth of South San Francisco’s biotech industry. Encompassing 941,880 square feet of cutting-edge research and development space, the project is thoughtfully designed around a central glass atrium that bridges its structure atop a two-story podium. This core element connects the campus physically and fosters a vibrant and collaborative community, setting a new standard for innovation-driven environments.
The campus’s striking facade takes inspiration from DNA sequencing, a tribute to the groundbreaking scientific advancements that will take place within its walls. Its fluid and dynamic articulation as the building rises mirrors the elegance of genetic structures, embodying both the science and creativity integral to the biotech industry. This visionary design solidifies the SSF Biotech Campus as both a beacon of progress and a catalyst for innovation in South San Francisco.
