Nawan Desert House in Joshua Tree Aerial View

The Nawan Guest House, designed by M-Rad Architects, is a luxurious desert retreat located in Joshua Tree, California. Set on a sprawling 40-acre lot, this 1,200 sq. ft. structure is crafted using concrete, steel, and tempered glass, creating a seamless blend of modern design and the rugged desert landscape.

The guest house features soft, organic curves inspired by the rounded stone formations unique to Joshua Tree. This design approach fosters a sense of harmony with the natural surroundings, inviting guests to relax and immerse themselves in the breathtaking scenery.

The layout separates public and private spaces into two distinct volumes, connected by a flowing roof structure. This thoughtful arrangement not only enhances the sense of openness but also clearly defines functional areas, ensuring both comfort and privacy for visitors.
