We are re-thinking the concept of LIVE-WORK to better foster an interactive community. We rejected the idea of a working space within the living space because it reduces the need for the residents to leave their apartments. Instead, we propose that the apartments include a working space within the building or its premises but not inside their living space.
This provides the habitant a reason to exit their living space and travel a short distance to their working space. This moment between the two spaces is what we call ‘transitional space and this is where collisions occur. It will be the space for opportunity and provide a ‘collisionable hub’.
