At M-Rad, we embraced the challenge of designing five luxury, accessible, prototypical mobile units for a picturesque site in Yosemite National Park, nestled within California’s Sierra Nevada mountains.
Each 320-square-foot unit was meticulously crafted to maximize space efficiency while offering guests panoramic views of the serene lake and dramatic mountain backdrop. This ergonomic approach ensured that every square inch served a purpose, creating a sense of spaciousness and connection to the natural surroundings.
AutoCamp’s vision of blending thoughtful design with nature inspired our approach. We prioritized creating spaces that not only complemented the majestic landscape but also provided an inclusive experience for all guests. Our ADA-compliant units seamlessly integrate accessibility with high-end design, ensuring comfort and functionality without compromising the aesthetic or the immersive outdoor experience.
The units’ success lies in their ability to elevate the guest experience. These thoughtfully designed accommodations have become the most sought-after at AutoCamp locations nationwide, including Yosemite, Joshua Tree, the Catskills, Zion, Sequoia, Russian River, Cape Cod, and Asheville. Each site leverages the unique qualities of its surroundings while maintaining a consistent architectural identity rooted in simplicity, elegance, and connection to nature.
Through these designs, M-Rad sought to redefine outdoor hospitality by fostering meaningful connections—both to the environment and between people. The result is a collection of spaces that exemplify innovation, accessibility, and sustainability, creating unforgettable experiences for travelers while showcasing the harmony that can exist between architecture and the natural world.
