Pierina Merino is an awarded architectural designer, digital fabrication expert, marketer, and curator. After working in large-scale iconic projects for Frank Gehry, Pierina decided to focus her career in the integration of new technologies into physical and digital products. Merino launched the first 3D-printed accessories brand to run through a successful national product placement test at Nordstrom. With only a year of launching her brand, she was nominated by The Los Angeles Business Journal under the 'Innovative Rising Brand' Category among designers and celebrities such as Michael Costello and Khloe Kardashian. Pierina has multiple years of experience collaborating with various architects on a range of installations, directed the development of 3D environments for high-end retail stores, and has had her work displayed at galleries such as The Architecture and Design Museum of Los Angeles, Dwell on Design, The Building Bridges gallery, and MAGIC. Pierina has been invited to lecture about the impact of new technologies in the fabrication process. She holds a Bachelor’s degree of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture where she graduated with Best Undergraduate Thesis Award and distinctions. Pierina has also completed a Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing certificate from UCLA.
