The new headquarters for Ring, maker of home security and other smart home technologies and recent subsidiary of Amazon, is located in Hawthorne, California, alongside other industry giants like SpaceX and the Tesla Design Center. M-Rad aims to help them in their mission to reduce crime by implementing smarter technologies in neighborhoods.

The project is a large adaptive re-use of two 18,000 ft² warehouses sandwiching a two-story atrium addition featuring two adult olive trees, a sculptural entry stair, and a double-height terraced seating area. The combination of existing building and new construction forms over 60,000 ft² of open and private offices, lounges, photo studio, executive boardroom, prototyping lab, café, and a 2,000ft² commercial kitchen for employees.
